About Me - My Background and Dealsheet
 
    Strong industry knowledge, extensive contacts, deal experience, and enthusiasm.   

 
After working for a variety of biotech and pharma companies for over 20 years and accumulating a vast variety of experiences, I started Pullan Consulting, to provide business development to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.
 
My extensive contacts (>2400 read Pullan's Pieces), my deal experience, and my understanding of how big pharma operates, are available to help you make your deal happen. 

I understand both sides, the small company innovation and the big company depth of resources and expertise in drug discovery, clinical development and commercialization. 

My track record of closed deals ranging from up to $100 million upfront sets the ideal frame for your deal making opportunities.

 

What counts for me is the candor and enthusiasm necessary to successfully manage deals and licensing for businesses of any size.  I won't say "no" to small jobs if I think I can contribute.

VP of Business Development at Kosan Biosciences,

Responsible for all business development activities, strategy, market analysis, financial models, messaging, relationship management and negotiations

 

Head of Oncology and Hematology Licensing at Amgen,

Created and led licensing team of 10 (including legal and finance) for Amgen's biggest therapeutic areas, oncology and hematology

 

Collaborations Manager at what is now AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals,

Led identification, evaluation and negotiations of academic and industry research collaborations  

 

Drug Discovery Research at what is now AstraZenecan and Pfizer

Led teams and contributed to 3 drugs entering the clinic; 1 now >$1B in sales.
